The past couple days have been a whirlwind. I feel like I have been running around SO much with about 100 things to do, when really, all I have done is homework and work. I have taken breaks to walk around Boomer with Edwin and Caitlin however. That was so much fun! By the time we got home, we were hungry. So, we did what any redblooded American would do at a time like this. We went to IHOP at 10 o'clock. Mmm...pancakes...On to other news...my friend Lena had her baby today. Rylee Elizabeth was born this morning in Norman. I haven't been able to see her yet, but I can only assume that she's absolutely gorgeous. Her mom is beautiful. I hope to get to see her over the 4th when my dad is here. He and her dad were in the Army together way back in the day, which is how Lena and I came to know each other. I haven't seen her in 8 years! OMG!My good buddy Nathan (high school chum) called me yesterday and is the new 1st grade teacher at Kanan Academy in Champaign/Urbana, Illinois. I swear you guys, that man is like the Kindergarten Cop! He is probably 6'7" or so and at least 250. The boy is an all state wrestler and one hell of a guitar player. He is going to entertain those kids like the Poppa Bear that he is. I am so proud of him. He also works for a high risk day care and looks after baby's that wouldn't normally have someone there to love them. If my kids ever get to be in his class, they'll be so lucky to have Bear taking care of them.I got THE sweetest card from a client of ours today. She is this sweet, 86 year old lady who ADORES me. She'll call just to tell me I 'sound pretty today' or that I 'brighten her days in a way I could never possibly imagine'. I tell you what, if I can grow to be half the woman she is, I will have not a worry in life. She sees everyday as a sign of hope and as an opportunity to make someone else feel good. She has such a beautiful spirit. Her HANDMADE card said, 'To Our Dearest Liz, There is no one else in the world like you and you brighten my life each time we speak. You are a treasure. Love, Your 86 Year Old Friend, Virgie."Isn't that sweet?! What a doll...On the subject of friends...I need you all to read my friend Drew's blog. I made the mistake of reading it this morning when I was trying to get ready for work. I was bawling my eyes out and had mascara running down my face. I was teasing Drew the other day about how he called me a 'friend' and not a 'best friend' and how I was SO insulted. Haha! Drew took that, and ran with it. He is one of the most amazing people I have ever met. Through every trial I have gone through, he has been there with a smile on his face and a song on the tip of his tongue. Whether it was 'I Feel Pretty' or 'Baby Got Back', he always knew how to make me smile. Drew has this exceptional way of making everyone he meets feel incredibly important. For example, he met my roommates ONE time, and when he needed a friend, they put their lives on hold, packed up the Escape, and drove with me. 600+ miles! He had touched their lives in such a way, that after one meeting, they felt like he had loved them for a lifetime, just like I had. Only I was lucky enough to have had him as my friend since the eighth grade. I had moved to a new place with a new school and new people. I had never been so scared in all my life. Then, one day we were introduced and I knew instantly that I wanted to know this person better. He sat behind me at an assembly and he laughed at some random comment I had made (imagine that). I always knew that when I was talking to Drew, he was hanging on every word I said, waiting with a hand to hold, a shoulder to cry on, or an energetic laugh that joined with mine in a way I could never verbally describe. His compassion, talent, courage, strength and love are what got me through some of the hardest times in my life, and what gave me the courage to take each day, one step at a time. He says in his blog that I have an amazing strength, but what he forgot to tell you, is that he is the one I get my strength from. He is the rock that I lean on and the faith I cling to. I know most of this sounds like, blah, blah, blah, but it is so incredibly hard to put my feelings for him into words. To my dear Drew, you are everything that I could have ever hoped for in a friend, everything I never got from my gene pool family ;) and everything that makes me excited for our future as family. You have helped to make me the person I am today. I love you so, so very much.Always, Liz

If you need a reason to smile today, I highly recommend that (a) you move into my house because Caitlin totally rocks my effin' socks off, (b) check out this picture at my friends site, and (c) congratulate me cause I'm gonna be an aunty!!!! Okay, so not quite...My cousin Phillip is going to be a daddy and is getting married this summer. Aww...kinda makes me sad, but really makes me happy. I know, that's weird. I used to babysit the kid for Pete's sake. (And yes Caitlin, I love Pete. That's why I occasionally say things "for the love of Pete". And yes, he does live in Dodge. Sometimes I just wanna get the hell outta there.)
I called my dad tonight to tell him about Phil and yeah, he was drunk. Kind of interesting to say the least. He told me that he is going to camp in my backyard and "snuggle" with the dog during the 4th of July. Mmm...k...
I met a person today, pretty good lookin' fella, but his name was Lloyd. Is it wrong that the name was a turn off? My question for the day to you is, what names do you find to be turn-offs? I'll go first...Bob, because it is such a cop out name!Tanner and any preppy, pretty boy name. You know, Ashton, etc.Wilbur and other really OLD names. Fred, Harold, Bill, etc. LET ME CLARIFY!! If you know or LOVE someone with these names, it does not in any way make them a BAD PERSON, it merely means I feel sorry for them having to go through an entire lifetime with that name. I too have family with such names. Harvey, Dubya B, Paul Eugene, Wayne Aldo, etc...and I love them DEARLY!
Your turn!

Today started out well. I was up on time and proceeded to arrive at work on time. I happily ate my strawberry, frostingless pop tart and got the clinic open for business. THEN, a cranky lady had to come in and ruin my good mood! She walked in, with NO APPOINTMENT, and insisted that I call the doctor AT HOME to make sure she was on her way and would see her FIRST. Bitch. THEN, a surly man came in and yelled at ME because HE was incompetant. That's right, ass wipe, you're the stupid one, not me. I told the doctor if one more person was surly to me I was "crackin' skulls". (Anyone else a Breakfast Club fan?!) She just laughed at me and then brought me some chocolate chip cookies back from lunch. That lady knows how to make me smile! :)Next oddity. I'm sitting at my desk, minding my own business when I see a woman get out of her car without a carrier. Nope, no cat. Instead, in her hand was a single, solitary, clear, ziplock baggy. OMG. I tell you people, there is no fear quite like this. That bag could contain ANYTHING. The suspense is enough to make one vomit in their mouth a little. No joke, I've had people bring me bugs, parasites, urine, feces, blood, vomit, dirt, scabs, litter, fur, dandruff, things their cat only mildly digested (hair ties, shoe strings, blind pulls, paper clips...). The list goes on, I kid you not. I be fo real. So needless to say I was somewhat relieved when this nice British woman had only brought me a tick. That I can fix. However, today alone I have also seen urine and knats. That's right. Knats. A woman brought me bugs that were crawling in her BATHTUB and expected me to diagnose her problem. Um, how's about you CLEAN your house, lady, and then call an EXTERMINATOR. That, which I am not. Gross.Next, another clinic called to have me fax records to them. The name of the client sounded remotely familiar. I pulled the record and realized that not too long ago, she too had been a complete ASS complete with threats of changing clinics and then a great hang up. She called me on the phone approximate 1.5 MONTHS after her cats surgery and still had not brought it in to have it stitches removed. They were supposed to be taken out 1 WEEK after surgery. She then proceeded to inform me that her cat had been ill since the day it left our hospital. Sooo...let me get this straight. That's my fault? Who's the negligent pet owner??! NOT ME! It has now been another TWO months and she is just now taking her cat in. I'm serious people, DO NOT HAVE PETS UNLESS YOU CAN TAKE CARE OF THEM. If you can't afford food, medical care, preventative medicine, love and attention, then by GOD don't have animals. Don't dare call yourself an animal lover if you have to make allowances for why they're not cared for. Sheesh. Okay, my soap box is put away.I just sat here and watched the historic(?) Michael Jackson verdicts. 10 counts not guilty huh? And how long did this take?? Basically, I'm apathetic. I think the guy is a complete creepazoid and was unfairly passed up for the lead in Planet of the Apes, and I would NEVER allow him around my children, but does he really need a year long, televised trial because he may have given minors some alcohol? I know there's more to it than that...but, well...is there really? Alright...off I go to work on some Microeconomics homework. I'm pondering dropping out of college over this one. Yup, sho am.Liz

I'm going to be philisophical here for a moment and I invite you all to do the same. Tell me...if you could go back to being 18 years old, and knowing what you know now, could do one thing over again...what would it be and why? Would it change who you are now?I'll go first. If I could be 18 again, I would step back and realize that it was my life all along. I did not HAVE to work so hard to make my parents happy. They would have loved me anyway. I would have stopped trying so hard to save my friends from theirselves and allowed them to make their own mistakes. They would have loved me anyway. I would have tried not to worried so much. I had no idea how much worrying I would do in the future. I should have taken more time to enjoy just being young. I wouldn't have taken time off before going to college. I wouldn't have been so scared of moving back to Oklahoma. Look where I am now. I have made some of the best, most unexpected friends a person could ever ask for. Thanks to them, I'm learning how to grow up without "growing up". I'm learning to be me and be okay with that. On second thought...no I wouldn't change any of those things. It is the trying to impress my parents, the worrying, the overcaring for my friends, the courage to move, the fear to move, the anxiety, the break from school that has made me...me. I have become who I am because each of these steps has taught me a little more about myself and who I want to be. I know now the kind of person I want to become, and even though I may stumble along my path, I know I am on the right one. And those friends I mentioned, they are right there with me. They are there because I made those mistakes, and inspite of them. Your turn.

Real quick recap of the day...AwakenPetsit...awaken man sleeping on the sofaMad dash to WalMartMake Coffee and heat Cimon Rows fo da famWatch "Matilda" for approximately an hourShowerGo to Chris' University Spirit for some OSU needsGo to Hideaway for some Belly needsGo to WalMart...againCome home and pay billsAttempt to organize my room/set up my bookshelfWatch Ed n' Cait make scrumptious dinner. Mmm...PITA (Pain in the Ass) Potatos!Go petsit and stumble upon two boys in the houseCome home and eat said scrumptious dinnerWash some dishes w/ Mateo/clean some windows with CaitGo for a walk around Boomer with Ed n' Cait- heard some bodacious music bumpin' in a Jeep Liberty, heard a man actually use the phrase "Krunk in the motherfucker", almost ran down a guy and hit on a guy for $50. "So...you come here often?" (Cait was gonna pay me if I hit on the hot guy. I told her he might have mace and that he really wasn't that cute. In all honesty, which I later confessed, I only said that becasue I wanted to save face in front of my bad ass friends and not get rejected. haha!)Drove home, flying like a bird for awhile and then hanging my head out the window like Hailey...the dog...for the later part.Upon exiting our mode of vehicular transportation, I witness Caitlin STEPPING ON A PYTHON!!! okay...so he was more like a worm on steroids, but he was a SNAKE! So I run in the grass to get away while Ed pondered how to rid us of this beast of burden...only to realize I TOO am standing next to Satan's own. There are TWO snakes in the front yard!!! So, we attempt to kill them with bug spray. Think it will work??? Probably not. But I can tell you that I watch everywhere I step! This is NOT overreacting I tell you...there was a snake in my bedroom at the old house. There are things in life you can not unsee my friends...and things that just make you go...blech! *(shudder)*Now, I'm waiting my turn on the shower. I feel schveaty. Eew... I must glisten and smell positively radiant!

I HATE SCHOOL!Why in God's name did I sign up for a summer course? I mean really?! This class is going to kick my ass! I'm not kidding people. I have to have my writing assignment emailed to my professor by noon on Friday. I have tonight and tomorrow night to write 5 more pages of CRAP (that I don't UNDERSTAND I might add) because I have to work on Friday and won't have time to do anymore. *sigh* I swear...i'm gonna lose it. Oh, and the exhaustion apparently HASN'T been cured. I fell asleep at 9 last night...reading for my stupid class. Overslept and was late to work..dragging all day. Then, came home and IMMEDIATELY began studying, only to fall asleep again...for an HOUR! Ugh! I just want to feel normal again. I have been doing this dadgum homework since 4:30 people and I'm sick of it. On top of that...I'm having a fat day. No, a fat MONTH! I'm just feeling sorry for myself right now, so if that bothers you, GO AWAY! This class is making me feel stupid, I feel tired all the time and I'm fat. Do I sound like a 'made for tv movie' yet, cause I'm workin' on. Here's to a better tomorrow.

Hola mi familia y mis amigos! Que pasa? The energy is gradually reentering my body...slowly, but surely. I feel better today than I have all weekend. I didn't flip any drivers off today, I didn't mutter profanities at stupid people and I didn't jump off any ledges! Today was a good day.
However, I went to petsit over my lunch hour today and was greeted by the nastiest house I have ever seen. I'm not kidding you guys, it was God awful. There was an Eskimo Joe's cup sitting on the counter (Okie's know how big this is) and it was full I tell you, FULL of MOLD. Green gobs of ooey gunk. It had to have been there for quite some time. And then, the cats had some canned food on the floor on little plates. Fair enough, my cat has that too. But then I see that the food is completely untouched. "Strange", I think to myself as I look at the gargantuous felines that grace this house. They make triangles when they sit...no joke. I look closer and see that each little pile of yummy morsels is swarming with ants. I look even closer and see that this swarm as created a sort of parade towards the front door. This is an approximate 20 foot trec that I can only imagine to be a gagillion miles to the ants. This house has probably never been vacuumed and is filled with more useless crap than I think my little eyes will ever feast upon again. Pure nastiness. I have one word that continues to run through my mind...Hepatitis.
I came home to my own little grunge fest which is gradually becoming liveable. Actually, it is quite remarkable. I came home to Caitlin and Edwin cleaning the basement and it looks magnificent!! Most of probably have no way of fathoming how much this means. This basement was growing things that should never be let out of the lab. There was a solid spider web covering one window and a carpet that looked like it had been home to one too many critters. It even smells better. There is light now and it is becoming more and more welcoming. Great job guys! In the midst of all the action, Caitlin not only got a war wound, but met a new friend...the nice SPIDER living in the window. Blech. Sorry Charlotte, but you gotsta go.
I got an email from an ex-boyfriend today. Not a real email, just one of those goofy little "what color pants are you wearing?" quizzes. But nonetheless, it brought back memories. In a way it kind of makes me sad because I don't have "that" anymore, but on the other hand, I am more thankful than words could ever express. That was a time in my life when I didn't think I could do any better and I also felt that I needed to try to "save" everyone. I didn't realize that it was myself I needed to make happy before I would ever be able to satisfy someone else. Now, I know exactly what I do and do NOT want in a relationship and I am willing to wait for that. It makes me sad that I have to wait and that I haven't found 'the one', but I know that when I find him, he'll be all that i've dreamed of and more.
Enough of that! I'm off to do some homework. Blech. Microeconomics. And then its back to unpacking. When will it ever end?! haha!!

I don't really have a whole lot to say today, but I feel like I should keep this fairly up to date. Why? I don't know.
I have been so thoroughly exhausted the past few days and am starting to wonder if there is something wrong with me. I basically did nothing yesterday, and today, I literally did nothing. I got up, went to pet sit, came home and have been in bed ever since. It is almost 4:30 now too...I'm such a loser. Some weekend. I made an attempt at getting my room together after the move and have come to a complete standstill. I have no energy to start another project, or finish any for that matter. Even writing on here has taken about 45 minutes of lying in bed with the cat, thinking "You know. I really should do something today. AT LEAST update xanga." Yeah...so here I sit. My roommates parents are on their way to visit and I am going to attempt to straighten my room. More than likely, I'll take another nap.

Oh kids...I am being a baaaad employee today. Yup, it is 1:45 and Katie has just left for the afternoon. I only have 2 more hours until this shift ends! Yay! I am actually working however, don’t get me wrong. I’m just at a slight standstill as I wait on my other program to cooperate with me. Computer’s suck! But I still, “Love technology...” ;) I have to go pet sit for two people after work (and they just happen to live on COMPLETE opposite ends of town!) but after that...I’m NAPPING! I haven’t been this exhausted in all my life. I don’t think I have ever been this close to clinical exhaustion, but I’m getting there. On top of the stress of moving, there is also the actual physical aspect that has left me drained. Part of it is that I keep staying up late because I want to finish getting the house organized and clean. I made myself go to bed at 10 last night, but even with 8 hours of sleep, I was still so exhausted this morning that I about fell asleep at my desk. It was bad enough that fellow staff members were asking me if I was feeling alright and if they needed to go get the doctor. Ha! I was literally sitting at my computer with my head in my hands and eyes glazed over. I felt as if I had been hit repeated by a Mac truck. If a junky had entered the building with a syringe and a cappuccino, I would have willingly wrapped my arm in his belt and began tapping my inner arm looking for the best vein in which to inject the frothy goodness. I finally bribed one of the nurses into running down to Aspen Coffee and getting me some super caffeinated liquid heaven. Sad how it instantly made me feel better. My head stopped throbbing, my eyes felt less swollen, I stepped back from the ledge and all in all I felt like a much nicer person. My boss came up to my desk approximately 10 minutes after my caffeine injection and in my cheeriest, I just had COFFEE, voice I said, “Can you see that the coffee helped??” She replied with, “Yes, Liz. I can see that.” As she swirled her index finger rather closely to her left ear as she rolled her eyes in my direction. Sweet, sweet lady. Ha! Lynette, one of our nurses, kept telling me that I needed protein and a nap; that my body was trying to tell me something. I told her my body tells me things all the time, but I rarely listen. (Speaking of that...you all need to check this out. I about pee'd myself! So funny! Yeah! FU, Lactaid!) Lynette just walked in after her lunch hour and asked me if I had taken a nap during mine. When I told her no, that I had paid bills instead, she gave me the sternest ‘Your mother told you to do something, why didn’t you do it?’ looks. I haven't seen that look since I was about 7 years old and told my mom that I was ‘busy’ and that I’d ‘have to get back to her’ when she told me to put away my toys and help set the dinner table. (Shudders) Now that I’m on a momentary high and can foresee the impending ‘come down’, I will bring this to a close as to spare you. When that wears off, I may or may not write more...ha!

Currently PlayingHow to Dismantle an Atomic BombBy U2Sometimes You Can't Do it On Your Ownsee related
Okay...so it has been quite some time since I have written a legitimate entry. I apologize. Wait. NO I DON'T! Get over it. ;)
Here it is 7:03 and I am sitting at work with the radio blaring! I have been here since 6:45, can you believe it?! Apparently, my handy little battery powered alarm clock was off just a wee bit. Jerk. When I thought it was almost 7, it was acually 6:40. So, I came to work anyway and ate my breakfast. Now I'm sitting here until it's officially time to clock in and start working. I am so exhausted!!
For those of you who don't know...I have moved! FINALLY! I'll eventually get my address emailed to everyone, but who knows. You know me, right? haha! Moving has been unbelievably stressful for the most part. Chaos was the word of the day for let's see...the past two weeks?? Last night was so much better. Aside from Edwin being in Tulsa and poor Caitlin having a terrible headache, it was a great and productive night. Cait, Matt and I made a mad run to Wal-Mart for an area rug and miscellaneous tchatchki's for the house. (I haven't laughed that hard in a looong time!) We left there, spending over 100 dollars between the three of us. EEK! I have spent more money this week than I have on recent vacations. I am petsitting for three families this month just to pay off my credit card alone. Ugh. Oh well...style costs money, am I right? This house is going to have style oozing from the floor boards when we get done with it. The living room, kitchen and bathrooms are pretty much done. At least they are livable for the time being. It's the bedrooms that are going to require a little attention for the next couple days. AND DID I MENTION FILTHY!! The people who lived there before us had two HUGE German Shepards and absolutely no understanding of health codes and cleanliness. OMG. There are giant balls of dog fur EVERYWHERE and grime and filth on every possible surface. Thank God for rubber gloves and Mr. Clean. And thank God for roommates who aren't quite as squeamish as myself. We'd be SOL if they were like me.
Well, it's just about time to clock in so I better run. I think Laz (the office monster, aka cat) is eating Lynette's potted plant and she'd kill me if she found out. ;) (Hi, Lynette!) I let the little fiend run around when no one is here because he is pretty pudgy. Probably doesn't help that I sneak him treats every chance I get!! haha!
Love to all, Lizzi

I haven’t written on here in a looong time. I haven’t had the energy to sit and spill my thoughts. As I sit here, waiting for the clock to reach 6:55, I decided I’d write a little. No sense getting to work on time. Am I right?
The Hartman House is moving. We are in the process of packing still and attempting to weed through the copious quantities of CRAP that invades our house. Christen, Caitlin and I organized the garage to some degree last night and emptied the attic space. You would not believe the weird shit that was up there! I’m serious! OMG! So now we have a pile of junk to go to the dump, a pile to take to Tulsa and a pile to store at my mom’s house. We have already taken 3 loads of stuff to the Salvation Army and have at least one more to take. We have taken 2 loads to my mom’s house, two to Tulsa and one to Cashion. And we STILL have tons of crap! The girls and I took a mallet to an old desk last night. It was marvelous. The front yard looked like an Ikea massacre! Caitlin got hit by shrapnel and had to apply a Band-Aid to her wound! We had a bleeder!! We had Dory loaded down with a load of stuff to take to the new house but the current residents did not return my phone call. So, Dory is going to work with me this morning with a full load. Oh well, could be worse. I rented a U-Haul this weekend too! I’m excited! A 14 footer baby!! We’re gonna load that momma down! The house looks like mass chaos, but I at least feel like we’re getting somewhere. Caitlin and I had a game plan to take down her bed and make her room storage yesterday, but that didn’t happen. Oh well...baby steps, people. Baby steps.
I guess I better leave for work now. Blech. I have more to say but no time to say it! So, I’ll write more later. I’ll have to tell you about the wonderful, high inducing allergy medicine I took, the friend I made at Arby’s and my near death experience. You all have a great day and say your prayers to the Saint of Movers for myself and my fellow Hartman House family.
Love, Liz

So today I was introduced to the best blog I have ever seen!! http://www.dadgonemad.com/. OMG...I don’t even have kids and this site just down right rocked my socks off! I laughed out loud a number of times and I highly recommend you all check it out. This man, has inspired me to further express myself through sarcasm and embrace my inner smart ass. I have always felt I had it in me...but this man...he is The Man. Haha!
I felt the urge to go for a milkshake as I was on my way back to work. *sings, “My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard...”* I called Katie who was working the lunch shift to see how many staff were in the building and then I made a mad dash to Braum’s and bought us all a round of chocolate and chocolate mint milkshakes.
Mmm...heaven with a straw. I walked through the door shouting “Happy Thursday!” and I could instantly see the love and adoration on the faces of my coworkers and boss. Food in general may be the way to a man’s heart, but baby...give a woman chocolate, and a milkshake at that, and you’ll have a friend for LIFE!
And yes, as you may have guessed, I am writing this while I’m at work. I am SO LAZY TODAY! I’m gonna get my sorry ass fired. Good thing I brought the boss a milkshake too. She can’t fire me at least until she forgets I brought her chocolate. No really, yesterday I was all jumpin’ around, cleaning the countertops, ordering supplies and doing records. Not to mention the staff meeting I was finishing preparations for. But today, I don’t want to do ANYTHING.
I just want to sit here and contemplate how much longer until Katie gets back and I get to leave. I have to go petsit all the way in BFE tho...not really looking forward to that, aside from the fact that their paying me, is going to pay my rent this month! That’s always a bright side, am I right?
Well, okay then, I’m off to work now. Fine! I’ll go! Fine! Jerk.
Love, Liz
P.S. The music I'm listening to is the elevator music we have CONSTANTLY playing at work. Blah. I totally did not choose it.

Currently PlayingDrama QueenBy Judith EdelmanJust because I was feelin' the whole drama queen thing there for a minute...momentary lapse. I apologize. ;)see relatedHello all! Today has been a pretty good day! I am working on my healthy summer goal as I told you in an earlier post and so far I am keeping up with it. It is only Wednesday, but you have to start somewhere right? Caitlin and I got back from a walk around Boomer about an hour ago. We went on the three mile trek with Katie, a friend and coworker of mine. I haven't laughed or talked that much in a loooong time! Thanks girls! We had a good time and even chatted with a really handsome fellow with a cute dog! Niiice. Animal lovers are always a plus. Caitlin even offered to trip a roller-blader for me so I could pretend to be a nurse and 'help him'. What a great friend!! I LOVE CAITLIN! It got pretty muggy by the end of the walk, and we were ready to head home and hit the showers. It felt so good to be out tho.One traumatic thing did happen today, however. I was sitting here at my computer during my lunch break and just happened to look over and see 'Balla, one of our fish, FLOATING AT THE TOP OF THE TANK!! He had been that way for a few hours at least seeing as everyone was at work. OMG! I flipped out! He was all filmy and lifeless, floating on his back with his mouth hanging open....ugh! The water had gotten so murky that it had this eery glow about it. I freaked and called Caitlin at work cause she had left the house moments earlier. "Did YOU know Balla was floating in the tank?!" So then I called Matt at work and told him I was freakin' out and utterly disgusted. He too, thought this to be disgusting. We discussed how we were going to get it out seeing as I REFUSED to touch it. Then, I called Christen at work. (Yup, I'm all about harassing people on the job.) I told her what happened and she was like, "Oh good...it was just the fish. I thought you were going to say the dog was dead." haha! Would have been that calm if there was a dead DOG floating in the top of the tank?? Noooo...I think not. ;)I had a staff meeting at work today and it went pretty smoothly with only myself, one other staff member and the doctor present. It was nice! We got good food from Panera and basically breezed throught the meeting. That's my kind of meeting! After that, Katie and I went for dessert. I'm SO BAD!! Some healthy summer huh?? Oh well...baby steps, my friend. Baby steps.Well, off I go to get my beauty sleep. Sweet dreams all and I'll see ya on the morrow.Love, Lizzi

The Keys to Your Heart |
You are attracted to those who are unbridled, untrammeled, and free.
In love, you feel the most alive when your lover is creative and never lets you feel bored.
You'd like to your lover to think you are stylish and alluring.
You would be forced to break up with someone who was emotional, moody, and difficult to please.
Your ideal relationship is open. Both of you can talk about everything... no secrets.
Your risk of cheating is zero. You care about society and morality. You would never break a commitment.
You think of marriage as something precious. You'll treasure marriage and treat it as sacred.
In this moment, you think of love as something you thirst for. You'll do anything for love, but you won't fall for it easily.

Welp, here I am. Same song, different dance. I kinda feel like I'm in a rut these days. I do pretty much the same thing every day. I get up at the same time, get ready in the same routine and then go to work, taking the same roads. I do the same job I've done for almost 4 years (wonderful as it is!) and then I go home and hang out around my house. The excitement of my days is now going on walks around the lake. We have started our "Healthy Summer Goals" at work and now I have to walk around Boomer 3 times a week, do Pilates 2 times a week and a few other things such as drink more water, eat breakfast, etc. Blech. Healthiness is over rated. However, I have become very good friends with two guys who aren't so good for me. Their names are Ben & Jerry. I mean seriously! Have you guys tried their ice cream 'Dublin Mudslide'? OMG! It can only be found at Albertson's, FYI.
I guess another thing lately that has been breaking up the monotony at my house is the fact that we're moving! I'm so excited! It is going to be an insane Memorial Day weekend tho. I can't even begin to tell you. There are five of us and we have a LOT of stuff. For the most part, I'm packed and I think Caitlin is basically done, but the rest of the house is in complete turmoil. The living room is filled with boxes and then there's a huge pile of stuff for the Salvation Army. This is amazing, seeing as we've already taken 3 truck loads of stuff out of the garage. This new pile is from the bedrooms only! UGH! Christen started packing a little bit of the kitchen last night, but I fear that is going to take us a loooong time.
Speaking of the kitchen, you should have seen the mess I made last night. I made dinner, which honestly, doesn't happen all that often. I made breaded fried chicken, croissants (out of can, ha!) and mashed potatoes. Apparently, I had the oil in the pan just a wee bit too hot...it sizzled ALL OVER the place. I'm not kidding. I had to mop the dang kitchen and bleach the countertops. Today's task will be to REWASH the dishes I used because getting them clean was a task and then to clean to disaster on the stove. haha! I did most of it last night, but I had to wait for the dishwasher to stop so I can unload and reload. The things I worry about...haha!
After the meal, which turned out not half bad I might add, Christen and I took Hailey and Oakley for a walk around the lake. (Kick started my goal!) Hailey took a nose dive into the water which had a lovely, gooey, green skim on it. Greeeat. Thankfully she was dry before she got back into my car. Oakley was absolutely terrified of the rollerbladers which I thought was a riot! That dog is not so bright. She jumps the fence all the dadgum time and then comes home, scratching at the front door to be let in. Duh. I can't wait until we have the privacy fence at the new house so she can spend most of her time outside again. I think she gets cabin fever and then everytime I come home she attacks me. Not in a mean way, but in an "OMG! I forgot what you smelled like! Let me attach my nose to your pant leg and jump on you while you try to walk! OH! You took off your shoes! Let me LICK YOUR TOES!" I HATE it when she does that. It gives me the willies and the heeby jeebies all at once. And beware my friends, when you come to visit, she will do the same to you. She gets really excited and has even been known to tinkle on a friend or two. Sue Ann namely. She lived on a farm and her reply to the warm urine running down her leg was, "Oh, it's okay. A little dog urine never hurt anyone. And I've had worse." Um...ew? I don't even want to know what could be worse than DOG pee.
Well, on that lovely note, I'm off to work. I hear Christen up making oatmeal and I'm late for work as usual. Have a great day all!!

I saw on a friends blog this little game where you choose 5 things from the list and complete the sentence. You're then supposed to "tag" someone else who must then do the same. I'm not going to tag you, as I'm lazy, but feel free to participate! Come on...it's all in good fun. I even did the whole list!If I could be a scientist...I would spend all my energy in coming up with a cure for cancer. If I could be a farmer...I wouldn't be. I would much rather be the one sitting on the porch swing on my big wrap around porch. I'd have a good book to read, iced tea to sip and the music of Frank Sinatra playing in the background. If I could be a musician...I would play for myself and friends, but you'd never find me on stage. If I could be a doctor...I would deliver babies. If I could be a painter...I would use every color on the pallette just because. If I could be a gardener ...I would grow all the flowers that smelled good and lots and lots of wild fowers. If I could be a missionary...I wouldn't. I would never think of 'forcing' my beliefs on another. I am happy to share and encourage those who choose that life for themselves, but they need to do just that...choose it.If I could be a chef...I would cook ALL the time! I love to cook, but I don't really have the means nor skill to make it wonderful. If I could be an architect ... I would build beautiful buildings. Not just functional ones. Detail is what makes the ordinary, extraordinary. If I could be a linguist... I'd never shut up.If I could be a psychologist... I would solve the worlds problems one nut at a time.If I could be a librarian... I wouldn't be. I love to read, but I can't handle silence. If I could be an athlete... I would play for the love of the game, not the size of the paycheck. If I could be a lawyer... I'd argue and argue until every rapist, murderer, batterer and adulterer was behind bars, rotting. If I could be an inn-keeper... I wouldn't. Who want's to clean up after other people? If I could be a professor... I'd encourage, stimulate and enhance ideas. I would also let class out early. If I could be a writer... I'd tell stories that make people laugh. If I could be a llama-rider... I would be the shit! Who wouldn't love to ride a llama? If I could be a bonnie pirate...Wait, wait wait. What is this IF crap? I've been told by two people that I AM a pirate! If I could be an astronaut... I'd sit on the moon and warm my face with the stars. I'd look back at Earth and finally realize how truly insignificant we are in the big picture. If I could be a world famous blogger...Oh, but I am...If I could be a justice on any one court in the world...it would the one that I could make the biggest difference. If I could be married to any current famous political figure...I wouldn't be. I don't like liars.
Today is my kind of day! Thunder, lightening and LOTS of rain! I love thunderstorms. The rain has since ceased and the clouds are turning from a brilliant shade of eminence to a softer shade of grayish white. I think the rain was hard enough to wash my car, which makes me happy all the way to the inside. Dory needed a good bath.
I got a newsy email from my ex’s grandma the other day. I love to hear from her, she is a wonderful person. However, I am thankful that she has finally let go of the notion that her grandson and I are going to be together again someday. Well, even if she still thinks it, I’m grateful that she doesn’t express it quite so much. She did however, let me know in full detail how he and his girlfriend are doing. I still care about him. He was my first love. I like knowing that he is well. But saying, “He is well”, would have been sufficient. It makes my heart ache to hear how much life has changed and moved on since I left there. I have come to the painful realization that the world doesn’t ALWAYS revolve around me. Ha! I got an email from two good friends the other day too. I have yet to write you girls back, but I will, I promise! No new excuses, I’m just lazy.
I had allergies somethin’ fierce last night so I took some allergy medicine. I was quite the loopy one! I even took ½ the recommended dose and whew! I was kinda spacey there for awhile, but I felt a LOT better once those babies kicked in. About the time the second pill kicked in, Caitlin told me I was a “Hip Chick”. I took that as a cue to start dancin’ and singing, “It’s a..hip...hop...hip to the hiphop, you don’t stop.” Ooooh yeah, baby. That’s right. I went there.
My friend J was telling me today about the cutesy wutesy details of her new crush/relationship. She was like, "I don't want to tell you, it'll make you sick! It's just so damned CUTE!" I told her to tell me all about it because I live vicariously through her. Yeah, I take it back. NO MORE CUTENESS! It just makes me sad, jealous...and it makes my ovaries hurt. My friend Clint and I promised each other that if we weren’t married by the time we were 28 that we’d marry each other. I should have gotten that in writing. I have a sinking feeling he’d back out. Or marry some random girl to get out of it! Ha-ha! I was actually thinking about that today. What if I never get married? I want kids bad enough I think I’d consider a sperm donor. Seriously. Drew? Wanna donate? We’d have some damn cute, talented kids. We could name them Antonio, Veronica and April!! Whadya think??! Sorry kids, that’s an inside joke, but I’d love to share so just email me! Ha-ha!
Tot, this parts for you. Don’t ever let people make you feel inferior. You’re loved even if you don’t know it. AAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHA!!!! Sorry...’nother inside joke. Ha-ha!!
Later peeps!
