Currently PlayingRecovering the SatellitesBy Counting CrowsGoodnight, Elizabethsee relatedAs my Wednesday night winds down, my fury also cools sligthly. The Bad:I had a staff meetingI had a testHad two hour lecture after dreaded testMy boss royally pissed me offI may not get to take summer session courses at OSU (see above)The Good:Beautiful, Oklahoma Spring dayMade it to class on time despite my staff meetingTest is overlooking into taking online courseswalked around Boomer Lake with Symphony (hi Symph!)Had a good chat with Jon (friend who has a sick kitty)cute guy in class...talked to me...oh yeah!Blech! Today just makes me want to say blech. Everything was fine until the dreaded staff meeting. In not so many words, my boss told me that my leaving for ONE hour a day to take a COLLEGE course was not an option. Seeing as she's probably the only person who has ever truly made me feel inferior for not going to school earlier, I find this slightly ironic. Another thing that I shall vent about today, is materialistic girls. Yes, I said it. A coworker of one of my roommates told her boyfriend the other day, WHILE RING SHOPPING, that she would settle for no less than a 1.7 carat diamond engagment ring. That's right. Explain to me please, how a girl who would be overjoyed with the candy ring that comes from the vending machine outside of Conoco, gets overlooked by these plastics who believe the world revolves around them and their every desire. Please, someone explain that to me. I work very hard for what I have and I find it slightly appauling that a girl would 'demand' such a thing from a guy. Buy it your damn self. Do they realize that getting married is about a 'marriage' and not the gawdy, overdone wedding or the flashy ring? I think there is only one person I know at this point who is planning a wedding that I truly can't wait to be at and that's my roommate Caitlin. She's not engaged yet, but she has the wedding of the century planned. Picture this will you...Fruity Pebble Cupcakes and Snowcones. A bodyguard/bridesmaid with her very own theme music (This is going to be me by the way. Have you all seen The Emperor's New Groove? I want theme music like Krunk!) and a bride coming down the isle to the acoustic tunes of Schism by Tool. Damn skippy! That's what I'm talkin' about! A fun and personalized wedding that has nothing to do with 'bling' and 'look at me'!There you are my friends...the daily rantings of LIZ! Goodnight.Love, Liz

Tuesday...why isn't the week going FASTER?!The Good:mmm...i smell foodi'm skipping class todaygot my car insurance bill and buying a new car made it go DOWN!went tanning...lookin' toastymade a VERY stressed person smile for the first time all daylistened to my favorite song- "The Way You Look Tonight"- Tony Bennetgot to drive with the windows down and the sun roof up...rockin' out to classic rock! The Bad:i'm starvingskipping class so i can have time to study for anothergot cut off in traffic multiple times on the way homeweather turned bad, real fast! can't go walking around the lakegas is $2.09 a gallonHad to tell a client today that their cat wasn't going to live much longer...client just happened to be a good friend. Let me just clarify something for my out-of-towner friends (namely the Illini). Oklahoma drivers are not as bad as Misery (Missouri) drivers, but they're damn close! I think they have started an underground "Crappy Drivers" club that you have to accidentally drive into in order to join. Jerks.Kind of interesting news...Oklahoma City (News Channel 4) has just upgraded its doplar radar system to include a 1 million watt doplar! This is amazing for again, my out-of-towner friends. All the other stations in the state have 250,000 watt doplars. There are only 7 other million watt ones in the country and we have one! Now...maybe all of our people won't blow away and the stations will quit interviewing the rednecks. "Wilma just damn near blew away! And she still has my casserole dish!" (Might I add, this interview was miraculously done with no front teeth.)Everyone here at the Hartman House is doing well. Caitlin just went to school. She will be done with her massage therapy certification this summer and is already making money at it! Edwin is busy building his robot for one of his many engineering classes. The thing looks like Bender from "Futurama" and even has a "thingy" on his head! Christen is workin' tonight but will more than likely be home shortly...probably with a new pair of HIDEOUS shoes!! J/J Cissi...you know I love ya. Matt is either working or at a study group. You just never know. That guy runs around more than I do! Oakley, the beagle, hasn't jumped the fence in a few hours, but give her time, it's still early. Hootie (the cross eyed puddy tat)..knock on wood...has not vomited on anything today. (That I know of.) All the other animals have been fairly uneventful today.Thought for the day: (from same guy as last time)I bought a doughnut and they gave me a receipt for the doughnut. I don't need a receipt for the doughnut. I give you money, you give me doughnut. End of transaction. We don't need to bring ink and paper into this. I can't imagine a scenario where I would have to prove that I bought a doughnut. To some skeptical friend: "Don't even act like I didn't buy a doughnut. I've got the documentation right here..."Alright...off I go to work out and then it's the nose to the books for the rest of the evening. Hope this has found everyone well!Love, Lizzi

I'm supposed to be studying for a Government exam right now, but I keep getting sidetracked!! And...crap, now i'm on the phone too! haha! Thought for the day: (I got this from a facebook.com buddy) "I was at this casino, minding my own business, when this guy came up to me and said, 'You're gonna have to move, you're blocking the fire exit.' As tho if there were a fire, I wasn't going to run. If you're flammable and have legs, you're never blocking a fire exit."

So here it is...my first "official" blog entry. I am taking a few cues from a friends blog and just listing my day to day "goods & bads". So here goes!
The Good:I'm off workI'm postponing homeworkI just ate some chocolate...oh yeahI'm watching VH1's I love the 80'sI went out to lunch with Sue Ann
The Bad:I'm postponing homeworkThe money drawer was off when I got to work this morning, making more work for LizziI got cut off in traffic on the way home! grr...roadrageI have laundry to do
Today has been an alright day. I got off work and went to lunch with my friend Sue Ann. We stuffed our faces and ran to class, making it just a few minutes late! haha! I have a test to study for tonight along with a paper to work on. Blech. I'm sick of writing this paper. We have one assignment pretty much all semester and it is this stinky paper. I dislike my teacher because he has no drive and doesn't seem to enjoy teaching at all. We are his last priority since he is a grad student and on his way outta here. It's sad when you have a teacher who does everything BUT inspire you.
After class I went to walk around Boomer Lake with my friend Symphony. We had a good walk. I alwasy feel better after I excercise and today it was in the 70's! There's nothing like a sunny, warm day to lift ones spirits.
Work has been going pretty well. I think I have finally gotten things worked out with my boss where she will let me take a summer course at school. Yes, I said "let". There was a whole drama there for awhile (which there is EVERY semester) where she doesn't want me to take any classes that will interfere with my original work schedule and alter the function of the office. This semester it was, "No. I don't like that schedule at all. You need to figure out another plan and if that means not going to school, well, then that would be better for the clinic." All this after she is the main person who made me feel inferior for not going to school. Oh well, such is life.
Well, off I go to finish up some homework and get my laundry started. That's a task all in itself! ha!
Love, Lizzi
