Word of the Day- Assenine

Assenine. Is that how you spell that word? Cause I like it. That's how I felt this morning when I reread last nights post. haha!! Did I not request that people not read too much into it? Well I'm glad I did, cause JEESH!

I think it had to do with the culmination of a few factors. a) Sappy romantic movie. b) Rediculous novel that depicts a 30 something who is still unmarried. (FYI- I'm NOT 30 something.) c) Beer. d) My impending birthday.

I'm not quite sure why 24 is the one that makes me feel old. Maybe its the fact that my mom was married and had a baby by the time she was my age. Then again, Mom never went to college, and regrets that fact. I don't know why I measure myself up to other people based on age, but I do. At my age, people should be graduated from college, perhaps have a job that is going somewhere (I do love my job, don't get me wrong.) and potentially be in a relationship that is going somewhere. I am still a SOPHMORE and will be for at least two more semesters, maybe more. My job has no room for advancement and there is no boyfriend in site.

Here is where I tell myself to STOP IT! I have shut the mouths of more than a few people who said I would never go back to school once I decided to wait. I love my job, and for 4 1/2 years, I have had a steady income that has provided me numerous opportunities. Most college students can't say that. And the boyfriend thing, ah Hell, the more I think about it, the more I undestand that with the schedule I'm maintaining right now, there is absolutely no room to adequately be involved in a relationship.

Sometimes, you just feel better getting these random things off your chest on here. Friends have GOT to get tired of hearing the same old sob story. Especially when in less than 12 hours I have already talked myself down and know that I am a complete imbecile. Oooh...I like that word too. Is that how you spell that? haha!

Everyone, have a great Saturday!!! I for one am going to Tulsa with my roomates extraordinaire and then I am going to take pictures for my photography class. THAT MAKES ME SO HAPPY! Have a great one ya'll.

24????? That's frikkin old, Liz! LOL!

Believe me when I say that you're still really young. I got married at age 22 and it was the biggest mistake of my life. I wish that I had done what you're doing. I wish that I had taken the time to explore life and find out what exactly it was that "lit my fire" before I jumped into a life-long commitment that ended badly.

It may feel to you that you're off to a slow start, but you're not. You, as your surname implies, are very wise, dear one. You keep on being that way.

Remember Liz, you don't need a man - you need remote start on your car. It will solve all your problems :)
