Whodathunkit?

This weekend was a lot of fun! I went to OKC with Kristen, Brent and Reagan to make a trip to Frontier City. Unfortunately, the trip was cut short due to Reagan having an allergic reaction to the sun. POOR BABY!! I don't think it phased her a bit tho, she was still as happy as ever. I stayed in El Reno instead of driving home because the weather turned bad. What is it with me and driving to the city? I mean for real...everytime I have EVER driven back from El Reno, it has rained on me. Oh well, rain is supposed to be good luck right? And in all honesty, the drives do me good. I get some of my best thinking done coming home from their house. You guys wouldn't have believed the sky either. The flat plains of Oklahoma were a God send that night as they allowed for free, widescreen, panoramic viewage of the weather that is, Oklahoma. I could literally see the sheets of rain pouring down from storm clouds of steel gray. The were immediately backed by big, puffy white clouds in the most unreal contrast. Poking through would be bright blue sky. The eery lighting made the fields a more brilliant green than one could imagine. Deep valleys of forest green with rolling hills of sage. Amazing. I kept thinking, 'If only my camera were here!' Now, it is. And then next time I drive back from El Reno, it will be at the ready.

While there, Kristen, the dear friend that she is, felt it necessary to plant seeds of thought into my wee little brain. Do you know what I mean? When a person plants and idea in there that you never would have thought of on your own and now you can't help but think about it ALL THE DADGUM TIME and wonder 'what if?'. Thanks Kristen. I won't go into any more detail than that as people read this who may not really need to know all the details. ;)

I got home Sunday evening and went walking with the fam. It was unbelievably muggy and I felt like my skin was melting off. Matt and I played a quick game of tether ball (which he beat the pants off me at!) and then while he and Edwin played, Caitlin and I got in a much missed tidbit of girl chat. I filled her in on the seed Kristen had planted and she gave me her much desired input. Girlfriends are marvelous things. We got home and took turns showering so that we didn't knock people over with our pungent BO. Oklahoma humidity will do that to a person. We (forcing Matt) all sat down to watch The Sword in the Stone. As a child, Edwin was severely and perhaps mildly abusively in my opinion, not exposed to the Wonderful World that is Disney animation. There are so many he hasn't seen!! My endeavor for the year is to get him to watch at least all the ones I currently own, if not more. Matt on the other hand, I feel is a lost cause. He hates cartoons! haha!! Not long after the movie started, Matt and I were out. Nap time!

Now, back to the present. Today is Monday and marks the first day of the Fall semester at OSU. It was a loooong day for me, but that's okay. I needed to get started again. I was getting too comfortable in my routine. I worked until about 12:30 and then went to Algebra, immediately followed by American Hx. Blech. I went home to find that my camera had arrived!! YAY! I played with it until I had to leave for class again. I had Macroeconomics at 6:30. It was supposed to last until 9:30 but my teacher was kind and let us leave at 8. Thank God. I came home, plopped on the couch and didn't move until everyone else had come home. I finally got up to go to bed when I decided I needed to blog. It has been to long, and this is basically therapy for me. Release. I love it. I hope that this day has been an eventful one for all. Thank God for the rain!! Wasn't it marvelous!? So sucky, huh Cait?
